The Santa Clara County Library Foundation provides funding for assistive reading devices for in-library use. Assistive reading devices are portable tools designed to aid comprehension through features like text-to-speech conversion, language translation, and page magnification. Individuals who are visually impaired or have other challenges with reading will benefit from their use.
Each accessibility kit includes:

Reader pens that are used to scan, translate, and read text out-loud at a speed and volume convenient for you.

A desktop magnifier that illuminates and enlarges printed text.
