Author Jen Fisher is a global authority on workplace wellbeing and founder and CEO of the The Wellbeing Team. She is Deloitte US’s first wellbeing officer, and has shared her insights on Fortune, CNN, Harvard Business Review, SXSW, and Happiness Camp among others. The TEDx Speaker and host of the WorkWell Podcast helps leaders build work cultures where people can thrive—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Her work challenges outdated systems and champions a vision of work that sustains people rather than depletes them. Her first book, Work Better Together, focused on positive social interactions and relationships in the workplace.

In her latest book, Hope Is the Strategy, Fisher makes the case that hope isn’t naive optimism — it’s a practical, learnable skill, built on a sense of agency and the ability to see multiple paths forward, that shapes how we lead teams, handle setbacks, and stay whole under pressure. Hope is not just a feeling, but a strategic imperative.

We invite you to hear from Fisher on Monday, August 17 at 7 p.m. at Cupertino Library. Fisher will read selections from Hope Is the Strategy and open the floor for a conversation about what it looks like to build hope as a daily practice.
